About PQUAL

Who we are —
and how our mark is governed.

PQUAL is an independent accreditation and certification body for training institutes, courses and trainers. We review quality against a published standard, and we run the public registry where anyone can check — free, in seconds — that a badge or certificate is real.

Impartiality, by structure

Decisions are separated from revenue

Assessors recommend; only the decisions function approves, rejects, suspends or revokes. Nobody involved in selling partnerships takes part in assessment decisions, and approval rates are published — a mark everyone gets is a mark worth nothing.

Everything is logged

Every assessment is scored against a published, versioned framework with evidence notes; every status change is recorded in an append-only audit log; revocations are published, dated and never silently removed.

Appeals with independent review

Rejected or revoked entities get reason codes, a 30-day appeal window, and a reviewer independent of the original assessment — published policy, time-bound SLAs.

Aligned with international practice

PQUAL's operations align with the impartiality principles of ISO/IEC 17024 and ISO 21001, and our certificate data model tracks Open Badges 3.0 / W3C Verifiable Credentials for portability.

Standards & Advisory Board

The framework's content and revisions are governed by an independent board of industry experts.
